        Scout’sbeen getting on my nerves lately. She keeps tryin’ to follow me & Dill everywhere! Doesn’t she have a life of her own? We keep asking her to leave us alone. Besides, it’s not like she would enjoy our guy conversations. She’d be bored sick, so in my point of view we’re doin’ her a favor. Whenever she’s lonely she goes over to Mrs. Mauddie’s house. I bet you she’s just gettin’ fat eatin’ up a bunch of Mrs. Mauddie’s cakes. (If you don’t know yet, Mrs. Mauddie is the best cake maker in Maycomb County.) I think Dill feels bad about leaving Scout out of the picture sometimes but she should have better things to do than follow us around, ya know? It’s more complicated than it sounds. We just can’t all get along.
